Q1: How do you ensure the continuity and quality of care, and what is your staff-to-resident ratio?
We believe our staff is the foundation of the “ultimate act of trust.” We prioritize highly trained, dedicated, and long-term caregivers who specialize in areas like mental health and learning disabilities. Our ratios are intentionally maintained low to ensure genuine, one-on-one attention and safety for every resident, exceeding minimum state standards. All staff undergo continuous training and rigorous background checks.
We move beyond standard routines by creating a Highly Individualized Care Plan (ICP) on admission. This plan is based on input from the family, clinical professionals, and the resident. It maps out not just medical needs, but also social, emotional, and independence goals (like skill-building for individuals with learning disabilities or stability routines for mental health). This ensures the care adapts to their life, not the other way around.
Our Adult Family Homes are designed to foster dignity, engagement, and a strong sense of community. We focus on normalizing daily life with shared meals, planned recreational activities, community outings, and a flexible structure that encourages personal choice. Residents are treated as integral members of the home, promoting joy, purpose, and a sense of belonging.
Open and transparent communication is essential to our partnership. We establish a preferred communication schedule with each family (e.g., weekly calls, bi-weekly emails) and provide updates after significant appointments or changes. Family members are strongly encouraged to attend periodic Care Plan meetings, ensuring you remain a central part of the decision-making process.
